What We Collect

• Account details: the email address you sign up with, or the identifier from Google or Apple sign-in. You can use the free portion of the app without an account.
• A phone number if you register with email. We ask for it at sign-up and store it on your profile.
• Your activity in the app: tests you complete, scores, and which categories you find difficult, so the app can show your history and build practice from your weak areas.
• Purchase records: what was bought and when. Card details never reach us. The app stores handle payment for an app purchase, and Paystack handles it for a website purchase.
• How you use the app: which screens you open and how far you get through onboarding, so we can see where people get stuck.
• How you use this website: which pages you open, which buttons you click, how far down a page you read, and whether you started and finished a practice test. This is measured by us, on this website, and is not sent to any advertising network or analytics company. It is kept for 90 days, after which only totals remain. If you start a purchase, part of it is stored with your order — see below.
• Support messages: if you write to us, we keep what you sent and the email address you sent it from, so we can answer and so we have a record of what was asked. The same applies to feedback sent from inside the app.

Who Processes It

We use Google Firebase for sign-in, data storage, messaging and analytics, and Google AdMob to show adverts in the free portion of the app. Those adverts are non-personalised. The app also loads its typeface from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your device's IP address when the app starts. An in-app purchase is processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. These providers process data on our behalf, on servers outside South Africa.

A purchase made on this website is processed by Paystack. We send your account email address, order reference, payment amount and account identifier to Paystack to process and reconcile your payment. See Paystack’s privacy policy for details of how it handles your information.

Website measurement is first-party: we run it ourselves, on this website, and it is not sent to any advertising network or analytics company. To count a visit as one visit rather than several, the site keeps a random session number in your browser's tab storage. It is discarded when you close the tab, and it is not a cookie. If you only browse, that number stays anonymous: it is not linked to your account, and it cannot be used to recognise you on any other website. If you start a purchase, that changes: your session number is stored with your order in Google Firebase, alongside the rest of your account data, so we can tell which visit led to the sale. We do not use advertising trackers on this website.

Your Rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@nhbrc-test.co.za. See account and data deletion for what deleting your account removes and what is retained.

Children

The app is intended for adults preparing for a professional assessment. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
